High Heels, High Drama...

When I discovered that Louboutin had done a range of shoes for Marchesa, I had a fashion spasm. What a fabulous pairing! And look, what fabulous shoes…
Also, real or not, these tattoos are awesome...

The Same But Better

Britney Spears' ads for Candie's shoes (yeah, we don't have those in the UK to my knowledge... not a huge loss!) have been virally circulating in full before-and-after glory... The get air brush debate continues to rage on, but right or not, the more before-and-after shots we see, the more evident it becomes that reaching this level of physical perfection is not possible without the help of some clever software...
Even those with the time, money and inclination to work out for three hours a day with the help of navy seals/olympians/ex-Gladiators aren't able to live up to their own, better selves. The selves that sell shoes. It must be surreal, and horrible, to look at a picture of yourself, perfected, and then face the reality in the mirror...

Wow Wow Wow...

Oh. My. God. Have you SEEN these SHOES?

Marc, you have stolen my heart... And put them on your shoes...

I want them all, and I want them NOW NOW NOW!

Flats Are Back? My Feet Thank You!

I've only just started to wear heels during the day. Yes, it means I'm always overdressed in the sea of sweats-clad students, but as a dear friend says, "always be overdressed and underprepared".

Now, however, flats are back! So, I no longer need to worry about having bus fare! Even the Paris Vogue team was spotted in flats!

I'm a die-hard loyalist to French Soles. They've become my signature. I decided it was worth investing in leather shoes which won't fall apart after two wears, unlike their flimsy Topshop counterparts.

I would become a shoe-heretic, though, for a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo's flats... Swoon!

Style Icon: Miroslava Duma

In a recent post there was a photograph of Miroslava Duma, who, until I saw that photo, I had never heard of.

After hours of stalking her on TPF, I am completely and utterly in fashion love with her.

Her smile, her attitude, her hair, her wardrobe, her accessories, herSELF. I am just obsessed. My boyfriend is both concerned and jealous...

I now get dressed in the morning with her in mind - play with proportion, play with the ideas of the smart with the casual, and most of all, BIG SHOES! I'm no expert at heels during the day, but the only way to learn is to practice practice practice!
