Fantastic Face

Being smug is a very ugly quality, but did I call it on Lindsey Wixson? I love this girl, and so, it seems, does the fashion industry! Life followed her during fashion week for this insightful piece,
and W dedicated two full pages to a picture of her fabulously unique mouth… She’s so unusual, LOVE it!

The Many Faces of Abbey Lee

I’m loving Abbey Lee right now. Anyone who can be in both Alexander Wang’s first main-line campaign video AND a Gap campaign at the same time (and be convincing in both) gets my vote. Fabulous.

"Oh Bambi, I Cried So Hard When Those Hunters Shot Your Mommy"...

Well, predictably, I have a new model crush. Bambi Northwood-Blyth. Sure she’s an Aussie, but I love everything from her neat, adorable features to her awesome tattoo! Here’s one to watch…

Incredible Curves

Wow wow wow. Three generations of super model, three stunningly beautiful women, three times the WOW!

I can’t believe I never blogged the A/W'10 show… I love the clinched waists and full skirts, the amazing cleavage and the Mad Men-esque drama.

But this really takes the collection to the next level, what a wonderful campaign. I'm in L O V E!

Coming Soon to a Laptop Near You...

Karl made a movie. Apparently it will air at 7.30 CET (Central European Time!) on chanel-news.com..

I am not even remotely concerned about whether there is some kind of plot. Every big-name model seems to appear, and the Karl-Chanel styling is in every pixel at every moment... Even the trailer is PAINFULLY stylish...

What a perfect post-exam treat!

Wixson the Vixon (aha!)

I spotted Lindsey Wixson in the Miu Miu S/S'10 campaign in the new Vogue - I can't find an image of it online, she's wearing a stunning bird-print skirt which I'm in love with... There's hot debate on TFS as to wether or not she's the Next Big Thing... I have to say, I love her look. She embodies the 'weird beauty' the fashion industry is embracing in their models. She's refreshing after the stunning Giselles and the rock'n'roll Frejas.... She is also only 15 which is a little alarming... Still, she seems to have her head screwed on, so she'll do just fine! I just love how her face changes completely when she smiles...

Beautiful Freak

Have you ever looked at a model? I mean really looked. It's no wonder we admire them so much. How many women in the world are 5 foot 8 and above and have the discipline to stay dramatically underweight?

I'm not writing this as a complaint or a criticism, but rather because I'm in awe. If I ever saw Chanel Iman in the street I'd think the aliens had landed, or the underfed giants had come out to play with their food, dressed to kill.

There's something bird-like about her. Say what you will about models and the fashion industry but there's a reason they're so extraordinary, because they're NOT ORDINARY. They're beautiful creatures from another world.
